News: Crews work to recover submerged car from Virginia Beach Fishing Pier

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – According to 13 News Now, crews are trying to remove an SUV that drove off the pier last Saturday from the bottom of the ocean.

The SUV smashed through the gate at the entrance of the pier and drove off the end of it around 7 a.m. Saturday.

Weather conditions have been too treacherous for crews to try and recover the vehicle from the ocean.

Police are working with crews from Crofton Industries to extract the vehicle. They believe weather conditions may be favorable on Friday and will begin to recover the vehicle at 9 a.m.
