News: Multi-vehicle wreck shuts down I-264 WB onramp in Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA — Crews were dispatched to a crash involving multiple vehicles Tuesday morning, December 26, on Interstate 264 in Virginia Beach, reports WAVY.

The accident happened on the westbound highway at mile marker 21.2, near the Lynnhaven area. Virginia Department of Transportation officials indicated that by 9:51 a.m., the westbound entrance ramp, as well as the west right shoulder, were blocked off.

Motorists were warned of delays impacting the area as crews worked to clear the roadway.

As of this writing, local agencies have not released details about the involved vehicles or the circumstances of the wreck.

No major injuries have been confirmed.
