News: Driver fatally collides with tree on Chesapeake Blvd in Norfolk

NORFOLK, VA – A driver fatally struck a tree on the 8500 block of Chesapeake Blvd on Saturday, according to WAVY.

A 23-year-old man was driving when he collided with a tree around 10 p.m.

Rescue crews transported the driver and passenger to an area hospital, where the driver died. The passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The Norfolk Police Department is investigating the incident.
