Regrettably, it collided with another vehicle containing two occupants.

Emergency responders swiftly transported the two individuals from the second vehicle to the hospital via ambulance, while Fulayter was airlifted to the medical facility by a Nightingale helicopter. Tragically, Fulayter succumbed to his injuries.

The two remaining victims are currently hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. The westbound lanes of Portsmouth Boulevard, including the Highway 58 westbound exit for Downtown Suffolk, have been closed as of 10:41 a.m. A detour has been implemented, according to city officials.
