News: Pedestrian hospitalized after crash on E Virginia Blvd in Norfolk

NORFOLK, VA — A pedestrian suffered serious injuries Thursday afternoon due to a crash on East Virginia Boulevard in east Norfolk, reports WAVY.

The incident was reported on a stretch of the road (U.S. Highway 58) near Kempsville Road (Virginia State Highway 158), just north of Sentara Leigh Hospital. First responders were called to the area shortly after 1:00 p.m.

The circumstances of the event have not been disclosed, but the victim was transported to a local hospital for unspecified injuries.

It was not immediately clear whether the driver remained behind and cooperated with authorities.

No charges have been reported at this time.
