In a Lynchburg Ambulance Accident report by the Lynchburg Fire Department, it was disclosed that the driver of a passenger vehicle sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital.
The incident occurred shortly after 4 p.m. on Thursday when a Lynchburg Fire Medic Unit was involved in a collision at the intersection of Eighth Street and Federal Street.
The ambulance, en route to Station 1, collided with a passenger vehicle traveling east on Federal Street, resulting in both vehicles being propelled into a nearby field with significant damage.
It’s noted that the ambulance crew wasn’t responding to an emergency at the time, and there were no patients onboard.
