Man Dies After Being Hit Outside Chesapeake Gas Station: A tragic accident occurred Tuesday afternoon in Chesapeake, Virginia, leaving one man dead and another injured after a vehicle veered off the road and struck them at a local gas station. The crash took place at approximately 1 p.m. near 2155 S. Military Highway, not far from the Gilmerton Bridge, according to the Chesapeake Police Department.

Preliminary reports indicate that a vehicle traveling westbound toward the bridge suddenly left the roadway for unknown reasons. As it crossed onto the gas station premises, the car collided with two pedestrians. Emergency responders arrived promptly and transported both men to a nearby hospital. Sadly, one of the victims, 56-year-old David Frank Wade, succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. The second victim survived and is currently being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, a woman whose identity has not yet been released, also sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Authorities have launched a full investigation into the incident, and as of now, potential charges are pending based on the investigation’s outcome.
