News: Box truck driver fatally collides with man on E Virginia Beach Blvd

NORFOLK, VA – According to WAVY, a box truck driver struck and killed a man on the 3400 block of E. Virginia Beach Blvd Tuesday morning.

The driver hit the victim, a 44-year-old man, between Scott St and Ballentine Blvd around 4 a.m.

Rescue crews pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Authorities do not believe impairment or speed played a role in the collision.

The incident is under investigation by the Norfolk Police Department’s Auto Squad Unit.
