News: Woman hit, injured by vehicle in Norfolk during dispute between minors

NORFOLK, VA — A 36-year-old woman was struck and injured by a car Monday afternoon in Norfolk during a physical altercation between minors, reports 13News Now.

The incident occurred near Alexander Street and Pall Mall Street, in the Norview area, at around 3:50 p.m.

While a sequence of events leading up to the crash has not been released, preliminary details indicate a group of juveniles were engaged in a physical fight. At one point, the woman was hit by a vehicle.

First responders transported the woman to a local hospital with injuries considered non-life-threatening.

No other major injuries have been reported following the incident.

A 16-year-old boy was taken into custody. Authorities say he faces multiple charges, including “malicious wounding, attempted malicious wounding, reckless driving and driving without a license.”

An investigation remains open and ongoing.
