News: Suspected wrong-way crash on US-58 in Suffolk kills 2, injures 3

SUFFOLK, VA – A suspected wrong-way crash near Suffolk early last Sunday claimed the lives of two people and sent three others to the hospital, according to WAVY.

Suffolk Police suspect a vehicle was traveling against the flow of traffic in the eastbound lanes of US-58, between the weigh station and Chesapeake, around 2:15 a.m. The vehicle then collided head-on with another traveling in the correct eastbound direction.

Two victims suffered fatal injuries in the crash. It is currently unclear which of the vehicles they occupied. Three additional victims were transported to an area hospital, one of whom had potentially life-threatening injuries.
