News: Driver dies following crash on Smoky Ordinary Rd in Brunswick County

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, VA – A driver died in a single-car collision on Smoky Ordinary Road near County Road 712 on Saturday, according to WAVY.

A 42-year-old male was driving a 2007 Honda Accord east on Smoky Ordinary Road when he strayed off the roadway and slammed into a tree around 7:10 p.m.

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and died in the collision.

Authorities do not believe impairment played a role in the wreck.

The Virginia State Police is investigating the incident.
