Car Crashes Into Virginia Beach Building

Car crashes into Virginia Beach building

Virginia Beach lawyer news: (13newsnow) — A vehicle crashed into a physical therapy office in Virginia Beach late Wednesday morning, causing “extensive damage,” according to authorities.

The incident occurred at Atlantic Physical Therapy on First Colonial Road around 10:50 a.m. Virginia Beach Fire Department (VBFD) reported that the driver, attempting to park, accidentally pressed the gas pedal instead of the brake.

Thankfully, Virginia Beach police confirmed no serious injuries resulted from the crash. However, both the driver and their passenger sustained “minor” injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.

Given the extent of the damage, VBFD responded to assess the building’s stability. After evaluation, it was deemed unsafe for the business to continue operations until repairs are completed. Employees will have access to retrieve their belongings.

A Virginia Beach lawyer may be consulted regarding the potential legal ramifications of the incident, considering the property damage involved. Dominion Energy was called to secure power to the building, and utilities were “red tagged” for safety measures, as per the fire department.
