News: Tractor-trailer crash on I-95 near Quantico kills driver
STAFFORD CO., VA – A driver was killed in a tractor-trailer crash on I-95 near Quantico early this morning, WUSA reports.
Troopers with VSP say the driver suffered a medical emergency while traveling north on the interstate near the exit to Russell Road at about 5 a.m., causing the truck to careen into a guardrail.
The driver, whose identity is unclear at this time, was taken to an are hospital, where he died a short time later.
Investigators report that the trailer was transporting several hundred bags of concrete that spilled onto the roadway, resulting in lane closures lasting several hours and causing a substantial traffic backlog.
