News: 1 killed, 1 seriously hurt in hit-and-run in Middlesex Co.
MIDDLESEX CO., VA – A woman was killed and a man was rushed to the hospital following a hit-and-run north of Saluda on Tuesday night.
According to a report by WAVY, two people were riding a moped west on VA-602 near Walesa Point at about 7:25 p.m. when they were hit by a deer, ejecting both riders.
One of the riders, a woman, was thrown into the eastbound lanes of the roadway, where she was hit by a dark-colored Sedan. She was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
The male rider was rushed to Riverside Walter Reed Hospital with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.
