Fire Ravages Gale Dr. Shed, Damages Virginia Beach Home

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Virginia Beach Fire Department Responds to Afternoon Blaze in the 5400 Block of Gale Drive. The Virginia Beach Fire Department swiftly acted in response to a fire reported in the 5400 block of Gale Drive on Friday afternoon. Viewer photos and videos captured flames and black smoke predominantly emerging from the backyard area.

VBFD dispatched crews to the scene at 3:30 p.m. arriving four minutes later to confront a fully engulfed shed and fence. Skillfully bringing the fire under control by 3:51 p.m., the incident resulted in severe exterior damage to the home and substantial smoke damage inside.

Remarkably, the home was unoccupied during the blaze, and there were no reported injuries. However, the two adults and their pets now find themselves displaced, with the Red Cross providing assistance.
