Virginia State Police are probing three fatal crashes.

Virginia Beach lawyer news:(13newsnow) — Over the weekend of March 8-10, Virginia State Police reported three tragic crashes in Brunswick County, Hampton, and Virginia Beach, claiming the lives of three individuals.

On Friday morning at approximately 9:40 a.m., a fatal incident unfolded in Brunswick County on Route 46/Woodward Lane. John Harrison, aged 52, lost control of his loaded tractor-trailer in the northbound lanes, veering off the road and colliding with several large trees. Harrison tragically lost his life upon impact. Authorities state there is no indication of speed or alcohol playing a role in the accident.

In Virginia Beach, state police responded to two separate multi-vehicle crashes on I-264 around 2:20 a.m. Saturday. A fatal pedestrian crash occurred in the westbound lanes simultaneously with a non-fatal crash in the eastbound lanes, causing disruptions in both directions. Preliminary investigations revealed a 23-year-old man entered traffic from the right shoulder near Newtown Road, first struck by a 2012 Hyundai Tucson and subsequently by a 2011 Toyota Avalon. The pedestrian’s identity remains unknown, and both drivers cooperated with authorities, escaping injury.

On Sunday morning at 11:20 a.m. in Hampton, state police attended a single-vehicle crash near Magruder Boulevard on I-64. Antonette Mitchell, driving a 2011 Hyundai Elantra westbound, lost control, colliding with the jersey wall. Mitchell, who was wearing her seatbelt, succumbed to her injuries at Riverside Regional Hospital. Three other passengers were in the vehicle, with one sustaining minor injuries. Alcohol and speed have been ruled out as contributing factors.
